Executive Officer and President
Amer Rustom
Since 1984 when he co-founded the Platinum Group, Mr. Amer Rustom
has successfully guided the many diverse business units of the Group
and has been instrumental in the creation of The Platinum Group
USA, Inc. as the operational platform for today’s many business
ventures. He has successfully developed strong ties with many of
the Middle East and North African leaders and country officials
as well as the local and international business communities. Educated
in Europe, Mr. Rustom is multi-lingual.
Chief Operating Officer and Vice
President
Robert R. Donofrio
With over 35 years of successful senior management experience in
both public and private companies, he has combined participation
in a number of successful public companies. He was co-founder of
a public company that was the first Chinese Fast Service Restaurant
in 1976 called Charlie Chan. He expanded the company to more than
60 locations, with more than 3,000 employees before selling his
interest. Mr. Donofrio is founder and Chairman of a company associated
with chemicals operating in over 60 cities and 3 states in the southern
United States. Mr. Donofrio brings considerable management and operational
experience. Mr. Donofrio attended Youngstown State University where
he majored in Business Administration.

Officer and Vice President
Azzam Rustom
A co-founder of the Platinum Group in 1984, Mr. Azzam Rustom has
been instrumental in the growth and success of the many diverse
business interests of the Group. An innovative visionary, he has
been the “key man” in the formation of new international
business ventures with emphasis on telecommunications. Educated
in Europe, Mr. Rustom is multi-lingual.
Chief Information Officer and
Vice President
Mr. Ernst U. A. Schultes
With over 40 years of successful experience in management, operations
and administration in both military and civilian environments, Mr.
Schultes’s is a former Officer of Marines with a myriad of
command experiences in times of both peace and conflict. With extensive
senior management experience to include positions of Chief Executive
Officer and Chief Lending Officer in both public and private financial
services companies and banks, he was a co-founder and former Co-Chairman
of the Russian-American Business Development Group, a joint venture
between U. S. and Russian financial institutions. Additionally,
Schultes’s has extensive experience in corporate representation,
trade and security related enterprises particularly in the Middle
East. Mr. Schultes’s is a graduate of the Virginia Military
Institute (1965).
Chief Geophysicist and Vice President
Gene Ackerman
Mr. Ackerman began his career as a Geophysicist with Shell. His
career with Shell started in onshore operations in the states of
Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama before moving to the offshore
Gulf of Mexico. He was then relocated to Shell – Canada to
explore for oil and gas above the Artic Circle. He moved to the
foreign division and while working for this group, his main responsibility
was the startup of exploration ventures in foreign countries including;
South East Asia, South America and West Africa. He helped to start
Tomlinson Geophysical, Inc. (predecessor to TGS-Norpec). He was
hired as Vice President of Exploration and left as Chairman. He
is currently President of Ackerman & Associates, Inc. he is
involved in oil exploration, data sales, prospect evaluation, overrides,
market surveys and advisor to oil companies of all sizes. Mr. Ackerman
received his Master of Science degree from The University of Oklahoma.
General Counsel and Vice President
Hon. Doug Walgren
Former United States congressman Walgren, a partner in The Platinum
Group USA, Inc., has served as counsel to Drinker Biddle, LLP.,
a national law firm with offices in Washington, D.C. and other cities.
Mr. Walgren has more than twenty-five years of government relations
experience. Elected seven times to the U.S. House of Representatives
as a congressman from Pennsylvania, Mr. Walgren’s committee
responsibilities focused on energy, the environment and technology.
During the Clinton Administration, he served as a Special Assistant
to the Secretary of Energy in the Office of Efficiency and Renewable
Energy. Mr. Walgren is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Stanford
University Law School and is a member of the bar in Pennsylvania,
California and the District of Columbia.
